We realize that every new dock site is different and we look at many factors before designing and constructing a new pier. Tidal range, current, wave action and ice are all big concerns in Maine. We build quality , rugged structures that are functional and pleasing to the eye.

In the substructure we use marine grade treated pilings, posts and bracing plus American galvanized chain and turnbuckles and galvanized bolts throughout . Salt water safe 316 stainless steel fasteners are used in the decking and rails.

Most of our piers have standard treated pine for the upper structure. If the customer does not want treated wood for the walkway we can customize it with options such as cedar or composite decking and rail and even fiberglass pilings in place of wood.
